Google “Instagram tips” and at the top of almost every list of advice for increasing followers, likes and comments is…

Share quality pics!

It may seem obvious… until you start seeing the pics some people share: pics of their lunch, pics of themselves in the mirror, blurry pics. Yike!

My advice is to go for quality over quantity. I have stopped following several people because they were posting too much crap. Plus boring or low quality pics aren’t going to get you many likes or comments anyway.

I’ve been posting on average 3 pics a day. That number is not planned – some days I’ve only got 1 pic I think is good enough to share other days it’s 5-6. With 3 pics a day my IG network score on EAv has gone from 3 to 19 in the last 12 days. I’ll be interested to see how long it’ll continue to rise with that post frequency.

Discussion

  1. Which do you think is more important quality or quantity? Why?
  2. To get an idea of how quantity affects EAv network scores, on average how many pics to you post a day to Instagram and what’s your Instagram network score on EAv?
