EAv To Follow My #1 Recommendation… After 28 Months

empire avenue solutionsBack in the Summer of 2012, Empire Avenue seemed like it had some real promise as a social media marketing tool but was being held back by some frustrating but fixable issues. So, I published a series: 12 Critical Improvements Empire Avenue Should Make.

Almost two and a half years later, Empire Avenue has finally decided to implement my #1 recommendation.

What did they do?

Dups Takes a Stand Against Abuse

DupsYesterday, Former EAv CEO, Duleepa Wijayawardhana, aka (e)Dups, posted a message in the Empire Avenue Leaders discussion group, putting those who violate the EAv Terms of Service on notice.

He wrote, “Over my tenure as CEO, I was very lenient on many people… I have come to realize, looking back, that perhaps I was too lenient.”

He continued to single out 3 specific violates that would result in banning the offender.

The specific violations and the pitfalls…

5 Reasons to Take a Drive Down Empire Avenue

blogathonThis week Empire Avenue has been doing a blog-a-thon.  It’s a great idea to rally EAvers to blog about Empire Avenue and get some bring some additional visitors and publicity to their blogs, as well as to Empire Avenue.

Sounds like a win-win-win to me.

After more than 33 posts and 1200 posts, Empire Avenue Tips is one of the longest running blogs about Empire Avenue, so I couldn’t let this opportunity pass without contributing a post.

So, why am I still engaged in Empire Avenue after all all this time?

Here are 5 reasons…

[X]Pendapalooza 15 is on!

Pendapalooza[X]Pendapalooza 15the 48 hour pay-it-forward buying carnival just kicked off (3 PM ET) and will continue through 3 PM ET Sunday.

XP15 is an opportunity for wealthier, longer-active EAvers to invest in less-wealthy, newer EAvers without any obligation for the less-wealthy folks to buy back (though they are welcome to it).

EAv Launches Affiliate Program. Is It Worth It?

eav-affiliate-programEarlier today Empire Avenue announced the start of the beta phase of a new affiliate program. The program pays affiliates an 8% commission on vees, eaves and upgrades.

However, it does not pay commissions on premium accounts and it does not pay any commission on purchases made more than 3 months after the referred user signs up.

Is it worth becoming an affiliate?

Pie 21 & the New Pie Rules

eav-pie-2100Empire Avenue has released the next Pie upgrade – Pie 21, which enables users to invest up to 2100 shares of other users (2200 with the dessert upgrade, 2300 with even more dessert).  There have also been some changes in the rules for buying pie.

The Pie 21 upgrade is only available for cash – currently $42.50, and will go up to the regular price of $50 when EAv’s holiday sale ends December 21.  Meanwhile, pie 20 can now be purchased with eaves.

Pie Rules!

EAv Now Offering Digital Music Downloads for Vees

eav-katy-perryA couple of weeks ago I wrote about Empire Avenue’s new digital currency – Vees – and how it could be redeemed for gift cards in the shop.  Today, EAv expanded what vees can be exchanged for to include digital music downloads.

How do the “prices” break down?

EAv Releases Pie 20. Doubles the Price!

eav-pie-2000Just 13 days after the release of the Pie 19 upgrade, Empire Avenue has made the Pie 20 upgrade available in the shop, but it’ll cost you $50.  That’s twice the price of previous pie upgrades.  There are also no discounts being offered to users with premium accounts.

As with the last couple releases of pie upgrades, EAv has now made the Pie 19 upgrade available for eaves.

Could these changes bite EAv in the butt?

EAv Lauches V… For Big Profits!

eav-vees-giftcardsAfter weeks of anticipation, Empire Avenue has finally rolled out their new virtual currency – Vs – which can be purchased in the shop, given as mission rewards and redeemed for gift cards.

Currently, Starbucks, Amazon and Crate & Barrel gift cards can be purchase in the shop – a $10 gift card for 1300v, which puts their value to the user at 0.77 cents U.S.

What may shock some is the dramatically higher cost to purchase Vs!
