Yesterday I posted a poll asking for feedback about buying eaves and wanted to get people’s impressions of EAv’s initiative to donate proceeds from the sale of eaves to the Global Hope Network International charity. I was hoping at least 100 people would respond, and so far we’re at 41. Since I wrote in yesterday’s post that I would post the results today, what I’m going to do is share the preliminary results now and keep the poll open. So here you go:
I’ll hold off on commenting and analyzing the results until the poll closes and do another post at that time.
If you have yet to vote, do it now. It takes just a few seconds, and I’ll give you 1,000e through this mission for your help.
Any thoughts so far?
Thanks,
Paul ~~> (e)PDSTEIN

I suspect that the people who buy eaves are new to EAv (hence the need for money to grow), and either plan on or use EAv for reasons other than just a game (they are trying to grow social presence, sell a product or enhance a brand). That being said, as soon as I can grow my portfolio to the point where it makes me “enough” money to support a few daily missions and some left over to keep growing my portfolio at a modest rate, I would not buy them anymore.

Anthony, that’s a good point. I think you’re probably right.

An interesting, but unsurprising result. There are two conversations here, the purchase of eaves, and contributions to a social cause.
It’s only my observation, but I sense the 41% result has fallen outside any sentiment toward Empire Ave setting up a social cause. When I’m on a campaign trail, I’ll purchase eaves, but presently I’m focused on my social presence.
Eave the game is of nointerest to me at all, but that said, I recognize you need to play the game of building your dividend to be of any value.
As an aside, I really like EAVE, as the fun is as wild west as it gets, paying dividends across the social media board.

Thanks Catherine. Good point that there are two issues. I could have done a better job of separating them with 2 questions instead of just one.

i do not purchase eaves, I get around 800,000 a day in dividends which I manage to spend buying shares, but I do use real $ to purchase the occasional upgrade, I do this as I enjoy playing the game as a game and am happy to make the occasional fiscal contribution.

Thanks At0mic. Plus the upgrades are a much better deal eaves to dollars than buying eaves.
